Divisions: Ladies and Mixed (all mixed teams must have a minimum of 2 male and 2 female players on court at all times.)
All teams who are registered to join Southern Cross Volleyball social competition are required to pay a nomination fee ($36 per team) for the season and to register with Volleyball WA. Teams must include at least 6 player registrations. The nomination fee covers up to 8 players. Team size is not limited, but players beyond the first 8 must pay a $6 personal registration fee.
For insurance purposes, each player must complete a player registration via the Volleyball WA Fortix system. No fee is payable for this registration as it is covered by the team registration.
Each team will be required to pay a $70 game fee each week. This fee should be paid as a singular payment each week prior to the commencement of the game. Payment must be made via the Southern Cross Payment portal.

That’s a wrap for the 2024 Southern Cross Social League. The finals held on Tuesday 10th December showcased the top teams in all 3 divisions with close games in both semi-finals and grand finals.
The ladies division was, as has been all season, a classic battle between Block Bashers and Party Girls. The Party Girls made it to the grand final by defeating YOLO Brazil by a golden point in the 3rd set, however weren’t able to repeat the feat against the composed and skilled Block Bashers who were able to hold on to a 2-point lead in the 3rd and deciding set. Set Scores: 25 – 23, 23 – 25, 3 – 1
In the Mixed A division, Zero Gravity continued their dominance and undefeated run by defeating Shared Farts 2 – 0 in the final, however, they had to use all their skills and experience to win the second set 25 – 23 after trailing 22 – 19. Set Scores: 25 – 13, 25 – 23.
The third placed team DanielMotorSportsAU, played their best game of the season to narrowly go down to Shared Farts, 2 -1 in the semi-final.
In the Mixed B division semi-final, Green Steel got the job done against Smash or Pass who greatly improved as the season went on. The grand final between Green Steel and How I Set Your Mother (HISYM) was another epic battle that went down to the wire. After starting the game in first gear, HISYM where able to bring it up a notch and win the second set. In the third set, the lead changed many times, with HISYM prevailing and winning the set winning 17 – 15. Final Scores: 9 – 25, 25 – 18, 17 – 15.
