Southern Cross Volleyball 2025 Trials

Mens SL Reserves and D1 Reserves - Dates to be confirmed

  • Development Squad will continue through to the last session being held on Tuesday 13th February at The Rise (Maylands) 7pm-9pm (2 courts).
  • SLR/D1R squad training will commence on Thursdays at Trinity Sports Centre from Thursday 18th January and will run weekly (2 courts).
  • SLR/D1R will switch to 2 trainings per week from 5th March (2 courts per session).
  • No further trials will be held for these teams but players from the D2 onwards trials may be invited to join the above sessions.
  • Squads to be finalised and offers sent out to teams by Sunday 10th March.

Womens Preseason Training and SL/SL Reserves Trials - Dates to be confirmed

  • Preseason training sessions are on offer to women of all skill levels.
  • Separate courts will be arranged to allow SL/SLR trials to occur whilst other skill levels can undertake preseason training sessions in order to get some touches in ahead of trials.
  • Weekly on Tuesdays commencing Tuesday 16th January 2024 (first session).
  • Final Session Tuesday 13th February 2024 (final session).
  • Cost is $75 for 5 sessions.
  • Squads to be finalised and offers sent out to teams by Sunday 10th March.
  • Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the week commencing Tuesday 20th February.

Trials for WAVL Mens Div 2 onwards and Masters Div 1 onwards - Dates to be confirmed

  • 4 x 2hr trials sessions to be held at Trinity Sports Centre on Sunday 18th February, 25th February, 3rd March and 10th March.
  • Trials will cost $50 for the 4x 2hr sessions.
  • Due to number, trials will be split across 2 sessions. Either attend a 12:30-2:30 session or 2:45-4:45pm session (not both).
  • After registration, you will be assigned a timeslot for the first 2 sessions.  Afterward, you will be placed into an appropriate timeslot for the following 2 sessions.
  • D2-D4 teams to commence training (draft squads) for 2 weeks after the 25th February session.
  • Squads are to be finalised and offers sent out by Sunday 10th March.

Trials for WAVL Womens Div 1 Reserves onwards and Masters Div 1 onwards - Dates to be confirmed

  • 4 x 2hr trial sessions to be held at Trinity Sports Centre on Sunday 18th February, 25th February, 3rd March and 10th March. Time TBC.
  • Trials will cost $50 for the 4x 2hr sessions on the Sundays.
  • D2-D4 teams to commence training (draft squads) for 2 weeks after the 25th February session.
  • Squads to be finalised and offers sent out to teams by Sunday 10th March.

Trials for Junior league (WAJL) - Dates to be confirmed

Southern Cross VC will be holding trials for all junior league teams starting in the week beginning Mon Mar 11.

  • All girls trials will be held at Wesley College in their transition gym (T.G. O'Sullivan Pavilion) inside the school entrance off Coode St, opposite Swan St, on Tues 12th and 19th Mar from 7:00-8:30.
  • Boys trials will be held at Wesley on Monday 11th and 18th Mar from 7:30-9:00, this session will be for all school years. Trials at Trinity will be held on Wed 13th and 27th Mar with school year 9 and younger from 6:00-7:30 and year 10 and above from 7:45-9:15.

Southern Cross Off Season Training

Are you interested in developing your skill and increasing your fitness during the off season?

The Southern Cross off season training program is an opportunity for current and new members to improve their skills and fitness and begin preparation for the 2025 WAVL season.

The program includes 11 weeks of coached training.

Fees:  $189 – (includes VWA Social volleyball membership)

Location:  Trinity College Sports Centre

Dates:  Thursday 10th October 2024 – 11th December 2024

Womens:  6:00pm – 7:30pm

Mens:  7:30pm – 9:00pm

Southern Cross Volleyball Social League

The Southern Cross Social League is on again and will commence on Tuesday 8th October 2024,

When: 8th October – 17th December
Time: 7pm - 10pm
Location: The RISE Community Center - 28 Eighth Ave, Maylands WA 6051
